this has not been a good week for the weiss/sisk family. allison, fred and fabby went on a vacation in oregon yesterday (wednesday) and today allison called to tell us that fred was in the e.r. with terrible pain in his abdomen. he was admitted to the hospital still in pain. they have ruled out a couple of things, but have not yet found what is causing the pain. allison is completely stressed out, but she said fabby is behaving like a trooper even though she doesn't understand why they are spending their vacation in the hospital. we always spend vacations in the hospital. hope our fred is ok and it is not something too serious and they will be on their way home very soon. apparently fred called arizona at the same time that allison was calling philly. we are all sending our healing thoughts to oregon.
yesterday i did not see the orthopedic surgeon. he kept me waiting too long and i got disgusted and left the office. i felt much better for having done that. i shall return to my unsung orthopod and ask him to do the surgery.
chris schechter has breast cancer. poor chris. she has to have chemo and a double mastectomy and then radiation. we hope she will be well when this is all over.
