good deeds vs. the vatican vs the pedophile priests

I would like to state today that I fully understand the Catholic church in its desire to sweep the pedophiles under the rug.   Frankly, it does the church no good to admit that they have these preying priests on their hands. How does it look to the millions who follow in the footsteps of Peter to find that they have these disgusting people in their churches?   After all, let us think back to all the good the church has done.  They gave the world the right to visit  the Vatican museum filled with enough treasure to pay off all our debts.  They allowed Michaelangelo to lie on his back long enough to give him a really bad backache, but look what he did!  The church gave the world a "papa".  If one is deemed good enough he/she  is  allowed into the inner sanctum to bow and kiss the holy ring on the holy finger. Now this is not to say that the church did nothing good.  Far be it from me to even suggest something like that.  However, it is clear now that the church has really outlived its usefulness and should pack it in before it implodes.  In my perfect world the church would sell everything in the Vatican museum and use the money to feed the poor.  And it should turn all the pedophiles over to a stoning squad.
