I am very happy to inform you all that I have definitive proof that I am directly descended from Ivan the Terrible. That means that you, dear children and grandchildren, are also descendants of this well known, if not beloved, individual. Ivan was a distant cousin of Vlad the Impaler of Transylvania who was well known in his country for doing terrible things to people he did not like and perhaps even to people he did like. However, over the years the genetic tendencies to do terrible things have largely disappeared and I am happy to report that as of now our genes are just happy-go-lucky and we only do good deeds.
I am really enjoying doing this research and I will continue to post reports as they become known to me.
