Newt Gingrich will announce next week that he is going to be running for President in 2012. Hooray. That is just what we need. Newt has converted to catholicism so he will get the catholic vote. Does anyone besides me see anything cynical here? And I suppose all the people who still think that Pres. Obama is a Nigerian muslim will vote for Newt, too. Newt's daughter campaigned against him the last time he ran so hopefully she will do the same this time.
The other front runners in the Republican race are Sarah Palin, Ron Paul and the preacher turned t.v. star whose name I can't recall right now. Jeez Louise!! what a group. There may be more to come. We have lots of time.
Meanwhile the gov. of Wisconsin is still working hard at destroying some of the unions in his state. He is getting lots of backing by some group called the Koch brothers. They are billionaires who don't like unions. The gov. of N.J. is trying hard to also make the union members pay for more of their benefits. I don't have a problem with that providing he would also raise the taxes on the very rich. My brother's family is still cackling on the way to the bank.
