The Republican politicians are becoming more and more disgusting. In the past couple of weeks they have managed to trash everything that I hold dear. They want to get rid of public radio. They want to discontinue any programs that help the poor and elderly. They want to kill any bills that support women's rights to choose what to do with their own bodies. I don't believe in all my years of listening to the news and politics that I have ever heard such hideous talk coming from anyone. The Republican politicians only want the rich to survive. Now I know that there are societies that are run in that way. I have heard of dictatorships. We now have a dictatorship run by 500 people! My father, Max, always hated politicians. He always said they were criminals with the license to do anything they pleased. I think they are getting worse. Did I mention that I believe that most of them don't have the brains of a toad? We continue to spend billions of dollars fighting a war in Afghanistan. Leave them alone!! They were happy in their separate tribes doing whatever it was they wanted to do. Now we deal with a hideously corrupt leader that we helped put in office and we are losing the lives of our young men over there and what for!?!? I think we need a revolution like just happened in Egypt. I wish I had the strength to lead this revolt. At the very least the speaker of the house and his closest cronies should be flogged. I picture my sister-in-law laughing on her way to the bank and that really makes me nuts.
